01 · Approach

A clear starting point, with room to refine the details.

The foundations are already there: a family-run e-bike hire business in Aldbury, using quality Estarli bikes to help people explore the Chilterns. We will use the business plan as a guide, then work through the practical details with you and refine anything that needs to change as the brand, website and booking journey take shape.

01

Sell the day out

The website should lead with Aldbury, Ashridge, routes, cafés, scenery and freedom, with the bike giving people the confidence to go further.

02

Make booking simple

Customers should move from interest to live availability and payment with minimal friction, especially on mobile.

03

Build for growth

WordPress gives the business an editable, search-friendly front end that can grow with new routes, partners, bikes, packages and content.

04

Launch as one brand

Website, social profiles, Google presence, advertising accounts and print assets should all feel consistent from the first customer touchpoint.

Great Big Small will take the role of digital launch partner, not simply website builder. The aim is to hand over a business that is ready to be found, trusted and booked.
02 · Business in a Box

Two workstreams. One complete launch.

Business in a Box combines the customer-facing website with the brand and online launch infrastructure around it. Each part can be clearly costed, while being designed to work together from the outset.

From working idea to launch-ready business.

We will shape the final customer journey, brand system and website architecture first, while the rental platform decision can be made alongside the build. Once selected, the booking system can be embedded into the finished site without holding up the wider project.

Workstream 01

Website design & build

£1,250

A complete WordPress website with content, booking integration, search foundations, analytics, GDPR/cookie setup and responsive testing.

  • Design, page structure and full build.
  • Copywriting and content shaping.
  • Third-party rental booking embed / hand-off once the preferred platform is selected.
  • Stripe set as the preferred payment gateway within the selected rental setup.
  • SEO, AIO and local-search foundations.
  • GA4, Search Console and conversion tracking.
Workstream 02

Brand & launch presence

£1,250

The brand and digital infrastructure needed so the business does not launch as a website in isolation.

  • Final logo design and usable brand pack.
  • Colours, fonts, logo variants and usage system.
  • Relevant social channel curation, setup and optimisation.
  • Google Business Profile registration and optimisation.
  • Google Ads account setup and conversion-ready configuration.
  • Agreed print-ready launch assets.
03 · Website

A simple, scenic WordPress website built around booking.

The site will explain the experience, answer practical questions and move people into live availability quickly. The public website stays clean and editable while the specialist rental platform handles operational booking data behind the scenes.

1

Design, structure & content

  • Mobile-first custom design in the finished Chiltern E-Bike Hire brand.
  • Recommended core pages: Home, Hire, Routes, About & Local, FAQs and Contact / Find us.
  • Legal-page templates for Privacy, Cookies, Hire Terms, Cancellation / Weather, Safety / Waiver and Accessibility.
  • Website copy written and structured around the customer journey, local intent and booking confidence.
  • Owner-editable content for routes, FAQs, partners, testimonials and routine updates.
2

Booking, rental software & Stripe

  • The website is designed and built independently of the final rental-platform decision, so that choice does not need to hold up the project.
  • Once selected, the third-party rental software is integrated using the cleanest supported embed / booking hand-off.
  • Live availability, bookings, waivers, deposits, bike status and customer hire records remain in the rental platform.
  • Stripe is the preferred payment gateway and will be configured through the selected rental booking setup.
  • Every booking route tested across mobile, tablet and desktop.
  • No duplicate WordPress booking engine or bespoke API development required for launch.
3

SEO, AIO & measurement

  • Search architecture around e-bike hire in the Chilterns, Aldbury, Ashridge, Tring and the Ridgeway.
  • Page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal links and local business signals.
  • Structured, answer-led content that is easy for search engines and AI-led search experiences to understand.
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console setup.
  • Tracking for booking hand-offs, key calls to action, route downloads and enquiry submissions where technically available.
4

GDPR, performance & handover

  • Cookie / consent management and consent-aware analytics configuration.
  • Data-minimised contact forms and clean implementation of client-approved privacy and hire wording.
  • SSL, security basics, image optimisation, accessibility and page-speed checks.
  • Full device QA before launch.
  • Owner handover and a 30-day post-launch technical snag period.
i

Important technical principle

The rental platform remains the operational source of truth. WordPress sells the experience and gets the customer to the booking journey; it does not maintain a second copy of live availability, waiver, payment or maintenance data.

04 · Customer journey

The technology should feel invisible to the customer.

Customers do not need to know where WordPress ends and the booking system begins. They should simply be able to find the business, choose their ride and book it without friction.

01

Find

Google, Google Business, social media, local partners and future advertising bring people to the right page.

02

Explore

WordPress sells the Chiltern experience, the fleet, routes, inclusions, practical details and reasons to trust the business.

03

Book

The rental platform presents live availability, compatible extras, customer details, waiver and the Stripe payment journey.

04

Operate

Bookings, bike availability, customer records, maintenance status and operational reporting stay in the specialist rental system.

05 · Brand & launch presence

Make every first impression look like the same business.

The current logo is a useful working direction, but the launch needs a final, practical brand system that works on a phone screen, an e-bike, a route card, a social profile and a roadside sign.

Identity

Final brand pack

  • Final logo design and refinement.
  • Primary, simplified and practical logo versions.
  • Colour palette, font system and usage guidance.
  • Digital and print-ready exports.
  • Favicon / social profile assets and basic templates.
Online presence

Profiles ready to launch

  • Select the social channels that genuinely help the business.
  • Set up / optimise bios, imagery, contact details and links.
  • Google Business Profile registration, categories and launch optimisation.
  • Google Ads account setup and tracking-ready configuration.
  • Consistent naming, web address and contact details across platforms.
Physical launch

Print assets where needed

  • Agreed launch essentials such as flyers / leaflets.
  • Collection-point or A-board artwork.
  • Route-card template.
  • Simple bike / helmet / lock labels where required.
  • Partner or local accommodation handout if useful.
✓

Estarli partnership

We will create a clear space for approved Estarli co-branding without making Chiltern E-Bike Hire look like an Estarli sub-brand. Any use of Estarli logos, product photography or the working “Powered by Estarli” line will be subject to the required supplier approval.

06 · Launch standard

“Finished” means more than the website being visible.

Before handover, the important customer, search, tracking and operational journeys will be checked together so the launch is usable, measurable and maintainable.

Devices

Responsive QA

Mobile, tablet and desktop layouts, menus, forms, booking embeds, tap targets and performance tested before launch.

Search

Local visibility

Canonical domain, metadata, sitemap, Search Console, local business information and crawlable content configured correctly.

Measurement

Useful tracking

Analytics focuses on commercial actions such as booking hand-offs, key enquiries and route engagement rather than vanity traffic alone.

Ownership

Simple handover

Chiltern E-Bike Hire retains ownership of its website and accounts, with routine content set up to be edited without developer dependence.

07 · Delivery

A clear route from working concept to launch.

The website and brand work can begin without the rental platform being finalised. The booking-system decision can be made alongside the build, then integrated and tested before launch.

Stage 01

Confirm & refine

  • Final page list and customer journey.
  • Final fleet, pricing and policy inputs.
  • Rental-platform requirements noted, with the final choice able to follow alongside the build.
  • Brand direction and Estarli permissions.
Stage 02

Brand & build

  • Final brand system and logo pack, targeted for delivery within the first week.
  • Wireframe and visual direction.
  • First homepage draft targeted for review within two weeks.
  • Website copy, wider page build and social / Google profile setup continue alongside review.
Stage 03

Integrate & test

  • Selected rental software integrated into the completed website.
  • Preferred Stripe payment gateway configured through the booking setup.
  • Analytics, SEO and consent setup.
  • Device, accessibility and booking QA.
Stage 04

Launch & hand over

  • Domain and Search Console launch checks.
  • Profiles and agreed launch assets live.
  • Owner handover and update guidance.
  • 30-day technical snag support starts.
08 · Investment

A complete launch for one clear one-off investment.

The two workstreams are shown separately so the scope is transparent, while the recommended approach is to deliver them together as Business in a Box.

Advertising spend

Google Ads media spend is separate. Ongoing campaign management is not included in this launch price and can be discussed later.

Legal wording & supplier permissions

We implement approved privacy, hire, cancellation, waiver and partner wording. Formal legal advice and supplier permissions remain with the client.

09 · Ongoing support

Launch first. Decide ongoing support once the business is live.

There is no need to force an ongoing package into the launch project. Once Chiltern E-Bike Hire is trading, we can review what support is genuinely useful and choose from retainer or ad-hoc options across website support, content, SEO, Google Ads and wider digital marketing.

Option

Ad-hoc support

For occasional website changes, campaign requests, print assets or one-off technical work as the business develops.

Option

Monthly retainer

For consistent marketing, SEO, social content, Google Business activity, reporting or website support where an ongoing rhythm is useful.

Option

Paid media management

Google Ads or other paid activity can be activated and managed once the website, conversion tracking and real-world demand are ready to support it.

10 · Working together

We lead the implementation. You provide the decisions and access only you can supply.

The project remains straightforward if the operational information and approvals are available when needed.

Great Big Small will provide

  • Strategy, structure and best-practice recommendations.
  • Brand development, design, copywriting and build.
